Fake Bolts:

To replace, order these fake hollow bolts: https://www.amazon.com/Shopgsc-Magnetic-Bolt-Geocache-Black/dp/B07L7D4BH2/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=geocache+bolt&qid=1629470353&sr=8-4

  1. Purchase a rust colored textured spray paint by Rustoleum brand that is available at Lowe’s.

  2. Paint several light coats, and it's recommended that you do multiple bolts at once (the textured spray paint tends to clog the container pretty easily and typically isn’t re-usable unless you have paint remover).

Spiders:

  1. Write letters on large spiders using green/yellow blacklight marker to spell (HELP) (SDRA).

  2. Cut off the two pedipalps (the front two legs) to avoid any potential confusion (the spiders in the pictures below do have the pedipalps still).

    • H spider: 6 legs

    • E spider: 5 legs

    • L spider: 8 legs

    • P spider: 7 legs.

    • Gently blowing air on the letters as you write them will also allow the letters to dry more quickly and evenly.

Pocket Watch:

  1. Use a very small flathead screwdriver (such as one you would find in an electrician’s screwdriver set) to pry off the back plating. There is a very small groove on the back plate of the watch that you can place the flathead screwdriver into and lift the plate off.

  2. Remove the plastic piece inside that holds the watch mechanisms and gears in place (it will pop out easily).

  3. Clip the metal cord for the button the runs to the top of the watch. This button opens the face of the watch, but the face can still be opened without it. Pull gently downward on the face plate.

  4. Remove the battery from the watch using the same flathead screwdriver (it is a small round battery in a clip on the lower right hand side).

  5. Remove the watch face metal disk. The watch is easier to set if the hands still click when you move them around, but you can still set them if they do not click.

  6. Set the pocket watches to:

    • 9 (2x), 5, 7, and 3 o'clock, respectively (shown below).

  7. Once you have the time set, place a very small dab of super glue in the middle circle where the hands all connect, and let it dry completely.

  8. Reassemble the watch by putting the watch face back in (making sure it is lined up correctly), placing the white plastic piece over the gear housing, then popping the back plating back on.
