Network

If your wifi stops working, here are a few general troubleshooting tips:

  1. Check your ethernet and power cord connections at all network devices (modem, router, gateway, network switch). Make sure they are securely plugged in.

  2. If using Unifi equipment, look for the status light on the front of the devices. They should maintain a solid blue light. If there is no visible status light, then the device is not getting power. If the status light is solid white or blinking white, skip to step 5.

  3. Unplug power to following devices in this order:

    • modem (varies depending on your internet service provider)

    • Router - Unifi Security Gateway

    • Network Switch - 8 port or 16 port (Unifi)

  4. Wait 15 seconds, then plug the power cord back into modem. Wait 3 minutes for it to power back on.

  5. Then, plug the power cord back into your Unifi Security Gateway. Wait 3 minutes (the status light on the top of the device should turn solid blue)

  6. Lastly, plug power back into the network switch and wait 5 minutes for everything to reconnect.
